Ed King, a former guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd who helped write several of the group's hits including "Sweet Home Alabama," has died in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 68.
Before his Lynyrd Skynyrd days, a 17-year-old King co-founded and played lead guitar with the Strawberry Alarm Clock.
