ATLANTA — A new survey finds the average American spends more time on their morning coffee than on showering.

The study says the average shower lasts 11 minutes, while breakfast takes just nine minutes. Coffee drinkers, however, spend 16 minutes making and enjoying their morning brew.

Nearly all respondents admit coffee gives them at least some motivation to get up in the morning.

Almost half of those surveyed say they go to bed earlier in order to have more time for their morning coffee.
