The video for Rain Phoenix's new track "Time is the Killer," a collaboration with Michael Stipe, has been released. In Phoenix's first release as a solo artist, the video shows the two recording the song in the studio and slow dancing in the street.

In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Phoenix described how the collaboration with the former R.E.M. singer materialized, "It was so close to home for me, it was difficult, but I got up the courage and asked. Stipe asked to hear the song. He loved it. He said yes. I am still in shock. His voice is magic."

The single, out February 14th via Kro Records/LaunchLeft, appears on a double A-side single featuring a pair of unreleased songs by Aleka's Attic, Rain Phoenix's late brother, River Phoenix's band.
