GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Gwinnett County high school has been ranked among the top 10 public high schools in the country by U.S. News & World Report.
Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology ranked No. 7 out of 18,000 high schools included in the nationwide rankings.
The school has a 100% graduation rate and tied for first in the nation for its scores on state assessments in math, reading and science.
The rankings evaluated public high schools based on factors including student achievement, graduation rates, college readiness programs and how students performed after graduation.
Several other metro Atlanta schools also made the national rankings. Innovation Academy in Alpharetta ranked No. 112, while Alliance Academy for Innovation in Cumming ranked No. 154.
Elite Scholars Academy School in Jonesboro ranked No. 227 nationwide.
