ATLANTA — The Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators will face off in Atlanta for the first time Saturday, Oct. 31, bringing the rivalry known as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart expects a strong turnout from both fan bases.
“It’s going to be an electric crowd because there’s so many Georgia fans but there’s also so many Florida fans there in Atlanta,” Smart said.
The Bulldogs enter Saturday’s matchup having won five consecutive games against Florida. Georgia is also a 12-point favorite heading into the game.
Smart says playing the rivalry game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium will make for a memorable atmosphere.
“This will be one for the ages; getting to go play in Mercedes-Benz, an incredible atmosphere,” Smart said.
The annual matchup will move to Tampa next year as the stadium in Jacksonville undergoes renovations.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 3:30 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 11:30 a.m. on 95.5 WSB, the Home of the Dogs.
