ATLANTA — Despite the suspension of Georgia’s gas tax, some stations around metro Atlanta are still charging more than $4 per gallon.
If you suspect price gouging, Shawn Conroy in the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division says you can report it.
Conroy says to gather as much information as you can and report it to officials.
“The time of day, the station address, that’s all helpful,” Conroy said.
Conroy says the gas tax suspension does not prevent stations from raising prices because other business factors can affect what drivers pay at the pump.
A Shell gas station located at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Collier Road is charging $4.69 per gallon.
