The producer of the spy saga said it’s going to be a while.

Barbara Broccoli said she isn’t thinking about who will be driving the Aston Martin after Craig hands in his spy creds until 2022, according to Deadline.

Broccoli told BBC Radio 4 that she was “in denial” that Craig is leaving the role after five films. She also wants the focus on the current actor for the latest film’s release, not the future.

“We want Daniel to have his time of celebration,” Broccoli said. “Next year we’ll start thinking about the future.”

She also talked about Craig’s initial hesitation in taking the role.

“He knew it would change his life, which it obviously has,” Broccoli told BBC Radio 4, according to Deadline. “He enabled us to explore the emotional life of Bond, to go deeply into the personal complexity of the character.”

Actors who portrayed Bond before Craig’s casting included Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan, each with multiple Bond films in their filmography. David Niven played Bond in “Casino Royale” released in 1967, but it is not one of the Bond official films and IMDB considers that film a spoof.

Once they begin casting, who may be in the running for the role?

Variety reported that betting company William Hill lists Tom Hardy, Regé-Jean Page, James Norton, Luke Evans, Idris Elba and Henry Cavill as front-runners.

Some have suggested that a woman could take over the Bond role, but earlier this year, Broccoli said that “James Bond is a male character. I hope that there will be many, many films made with women, for women, by women, about women.”

“I don’t think we have to take a male character and have a woman portray him. So yes, I see him as male. And I’m sort of in denial, I would love for Daniel to continue forever,” Broccoli said, according to Variety.

No Time To Die” will be released Oct. 8.
