Video shows Jeremiah Blackshire, 13, getting hit with the electronic device by another student at Wunderlich Intermediate School, KPRC reported.

“While I’m sitting down I look back, he said, ‘Why you following me, man?’ I was like, ‘No, I’m not following (you).’ He kept saying that, ‘Why you following me?’” Blackshire said.

Blackshire said classes were combined and he did not know who the student was.

His father, James Blackshire, learned about the incident the next day when the video was sent to another of his sons. Blackshire’s wife later shared the video on social media.

“I watched it one time. I was angry,” James Blackshire said. “That angered me to see my son get hit like that when he don’t deserve it.”

Blackshire said his son has mild autism and ADHD. He said the teen was in pain but an evaluation showed he did not have a concussion.

“I just want justice and I want the school to be held accountable,” James Blackshire said.

The Klein Independent School District is investigating.

“Klein ISD does not tolerate this type of conduct,” officials told KPRC. “The district is working with the Klein ISD Police Department and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, and is taking disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. Because of the pending investigation and student privacy laws, we are unable to provide further details.”
