Original report: The ceremonies had been held the last three years in Las Vegas and was hosted the last two years by Reba McEntire.
Several winners were announced ahead of Wednesday’s broadcast on CBS, Rolling Stone reported. In mid-August, Urban told Tennille Townes and Riley Green during a Zoom meeting that they won the New Female Artist and New Male Artist awards, the magazine reported.
On Monday, Thomas Rhett won the Video of the Year category for “Remember You Young,” while Hillary Lindsey won her first Songwriter of the Year award. The Music Event of the Year award went to Miranda Lambert, who covered Elvin Bishop’s 1975 hit, “Fooled Around and Fell in Love,” with Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Caylee Hammack, Tenille Townes, and Elle King.
