According to Santa Clara police, Jason Cameron Brown of San Jose allegedly built the “makeshift room” in the maintenance shop located in the basement of a campus building, KTVU reported.

In the room, which was discovered in October and actually consisted of false walls to conceal its presence, investigators found a mattress, sex toys and a laptop. Forensic analysis revealed the laptop, which belonged to Brown, contained child pornography on the hard drive, the TV station reported.

Brown, 49, who had been placed on administrative leave by the university when the room was discovered, has since been fired and was arrested Tuesday and charged with one felony count of possessing child porn, KRON reported.

“This is a police matter involving an individual who is no longer employed at Santa Clara University,” university spokesperson Deepa Arora told KTVU in an email.
