A new suitcase may help get your family to visit, so why not send the suitcase and even a ticket for a visit? Samsonite has this 31" spinner that has a regular price of $420, but is on sale for $188.99. It weighs only 12 pounds so it won't count against you too much for luggage weight. Shop at Samsonite.

I traveled to Vega$ last week, and was reminded of something that, increasingly, doesn’t make sense to me.  Granted, I don’t travel as often as I used to, so I’m counting on hearing from people who travel more often to explain why it makes sense for them to bring their big suitcase bags on the plane.  I cannot understand why people like I am are charged extra for checking our bags. Flights since 9/11 are packed to the gills, and I have been knocked in the head by more people heaving their huge luggage trying to stuff it into the overhead compartments on every flight/airline I’ve been on, especially since the airlines came up with the brainiac idea to charge for checking regular luggage.  Years ago I remember hearing that a big danger for passengers is bags coming loose from the overhead compartments during turbulence. Now those bags have increased in number, size, and weight! It takes a ridiculous amount of time for people to lug these bags onto the plane, then to find there’s no more overhead room for them or that they won’t fit, so they have to take them off the plane to check them. I wonder if they get charged for that? Maybe that’s the way to get your bags on for free! You can tell people are more stressed about getting on the plane to find a spot for their bags now, so people are even more rude than usual about boarding.  I just can’t understand why people aren’t charged for bringing their luggage onto the plane to put into the overhead bins instead of for checking luggage.  You?
