My first car was a baby blue Fiat 850 Sport convertible -- I can't even believe my parents let me drive the car, it was so tiny. It was like riding in a cute little, dangerous, tin can. The car was old when I got it, but I couldn't care less -- I loved it. It didn't have an FM radio but, thank God, 96 Rock had an AM signal at the time. I'll never forget that day in 1980, pulling into a parking lot downtown going to my college internship job, and hearing on 96 Rock that John Bonham had died. Led Zeppelin was my favorite band. I was currently in the process of wearing out my vinyl copy of In Through the Out Door. I couldn't believe it, I just sat there staring at the dash. Somehow I knew Led Zeppelin would never be with Bonzo -- it was certainly the end of an era for me.
