Ed was one of my absolute favorites in the music business.  A true gentleman with an incredible ear for musical sound.  Ed toured and worked with some of the biggest and best in the industry.  I don't think there's a person alive who knew this man and didn't like him -- a lot! My time with Ed and his life-love Mary Ellen goes back nearly 30 years when they, along with some dear friends I met when I started my career at 96 Rock, took me under their wings.  I was stunned and terribly saddened to learn that Ed had been diagnosed with cancer and never had a chance to leave the hospital once they learned the news -- he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family a few days later. I was blessed to be able to visit him that week in the hospital along with scores of other friends. 

Sunday, Oct. 28 from 5 - 10p, there will be a tribute to Ed at the Center Stage Theater with loads of folks you know jamming on stage in memory of their dear friend.  We're asking for a $20 donation at the door, and there will be a silent auction with terrific items including several autographed guitars for you to bid on.  There's a fb page called An Evening With Ed that you can check out in the meantime, and I will be posting updates on auction items and bands performing over the next 2 weeks.  Whether you knew Ed or not, know that he was an important piece of the musical fabric of this town, and I'd love for you to join us Oct. 28th for a festive evening and an event we hope will raise a lot of money for his medical bills, etc.
