A couple of months ago, I attended the opening of a beautiful new restaurant on East Andrews called the Czar Ice Bar. I'm not a big fish fan, but I'll eat mild sushi -- I just love it -- using chopsticks, and making my own soy sauce, ginger and wasabi dip for my California rolls! I've eaten at some pretty cool sushi restaurants, but never one quite as cool as this one -- literally. It's a beautiful bar with the top made of ice (done in the same way an ice skaking rink is.) If you love vodka, you'll be in heaven here -- every top-shelf kind you can imagine with all different flavors. Finally, the sushi is probably the best I've eaten. There is a sushi master at the Czar Bar, and the different rolls and pieces that are created there are really something else. Check them out! So I've digressed...

That night I met one of the owners of the complex at East Andrews, Steve, and he took my friend and me around to several of his other establishments housed there -- it's a VERY cool area! Great, talented and knowledgeable bartenders and servers! He showed me a space that was to become the Atlanta Improv, the Atlanta version of the classic comedy club which launched the careers of some amazing talent, like Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno. The same guy who started the Improv is still involved and will be involved in the Atlanta club as far as helping book national talent, etc. The big Grand Opening is this weekend, beginning tonight, with the wonderful comedian Louie Anderson headlining. The Improv Comedy Clun and Dinner Theater is a comfortable room with plenty of space -- you're not too crammed in. I think the Atlanta Improv and the rest of the restaurants and bars in the Andrews Entertainment District are going to become a huge destination for metro Atlantans -- 10 terrific establishments at one great address in Buckhead!
