..."The waiting is the hardest part."  Last night I had a sweet, empathetic, guy friend ask me how bad it was to get my boob biopsied yesterday morning.  I really love a guy who truly wants to understand what a woman is going through when she's experiencing something he never will in quite the same way.  I likened it to getting a big needle stuck  for a long time and moved around in part of his anatomy that I imagine Lance Armstrong would understand.  You're so numbed up that it doesn't really hurt,  but you feel it, and I could see the sonogram monitor while the needle "grabbed" tiny slivers of tissue with a bit of the calcification.   While I watched on my side with my arm over my head, I felt a sense of awe that this test saves lives.  It's incredible that docs can see something so tiny, and go in to take some of it to test, and that I can watch it happen and get up and go to lunch afterwards.  I should have the results by Thursday afternoon and, as promised, I'll keep you posted.  I can't say thank you enough for your precious prayers and positive thoughts!
