I've recently had some fantastic meals at new Atlanta restaurants and wanted to share the food love with you, so I'll feature my three new favorites in my blog the next couple of days.

Last night we celebrated my friend Anthony's 50th birthday at the new Italian restaurant near Piedmont and 10th, Campagnolo, 980 Piedmont Ave., NE Atlanta, GA 30309.  There were four of us with dramatically different entrees, and we were all thrilled with our meals!  For starters, the Caprese Salad had big, rich, beautiful tomatoes with the typical yummy Mozzarella and basil atop, but Campagnolo adds roasted garlic to that -- incredibly tasty!  The Risotto was simply amazing -- roasted Brussell Sprouts and other fresh veggies added made it the best I've ever tasted.  I ordered the steak, which was tender and beautifully seasoned, and the broccoli rabe on the side was another delightful taste sensation.  My friends' meals varied from perfect pasta dishes, to a delectable pork shank.  The service was top-notch, and the meal was not too expensive for what it is.  It ended up costing less than $60 per person (not including tip) including a couple of drinks each.  There's free valet parking around the corner on 10th, too, which makes it very convenient for midtown.  The only downside is that the dining room is very loud when it's full -- there's nothing in the room to absorb the sound.  But it's a lovely atmosphere, and you will not be disappointed with this Italian fare!
