Wow, we had a nice bunch of folks come out to The Hard Rock Cafe Saturday night to play and sing for their Experience Hendrix tickets.  Some participants actually blew me away with how well they played and interpreted the music of Jimi.  A bass player and guitar player/singer, who play in a Hendrix tribute band together, had the crowd cheering with their renditions of some rocking classics.  An older hippie chick did a great job singing and reciting Hendrix's lyrics -- we'd never heard them quite that way before.  An older guy with his hair in a bandana Jimi-style played and sang a medley by himself.  He was at turns brilliant, then off.  But he was completely entertaining.  We had pair of 10-year-old twin girls who sang Foxy Lady just the way their proud parents had taught them -- they were accompanied by one of the guitarists, and knocked it out of the park.  And we had a straight-up great musician and singer who was just perfect -- terrific voice, blazing playing!  All won tickets for the upcoming Experience Hendrix show March 10th at The Fox.  The list of guitarists for the show is phenominal and whether you're a fan of Hendrix, of the artists paying tribute to him, or both, you don't want to miss this show!  It sold out last time it was here a couple of years ago.  Find out more at http://www.ticketmaster.com/venueartist/114694/1153570?brand=fabulousfox
