Chef Updates

I am so happy to report that Hans Rueffert's 13 hour surgery is done.  The doctors thought that they might have to do two separate surgeries, but it looks like they did all they needed to do at one time which, I'm sure, is a relief to Hans and his family.  I couldn't believe when I read his wife Amy's update a few hours ago that said they were getting ready soon to have him walk a bit to clear his lungs.  Can you imagine?!  Having yourstomach removed and your innards turned inside out and worse, then getting up to walk it off a bit?  Amazing, and painful!  I am so thankful this dear guy is on his path to recovery.

HELL YEAH for Richard Blais!  I actually cried a few tears of joy for him when he won Top Chef -- it was a wonderful moment to watch.  I interviewed Richard a while back and it was posted so you could hear it, but now that we've redone our website I don't know which end is up with all the interviews we had.   We spent a few hours together and he is a really fun, super nice guy.  I could tell that the people that work with him love him!  The hometown guy deserves the win.
