Chef Nancy Waldeck is a fellow breast cancer survivor and she teaches some of the cooking classes I enjoy so much over at The Cancer Wellness Center at Piedmont West (I75 at Howell Mill.)  Nancy has a new book out called "Taste and Savor: Delicious Healthy Recipes & Tasty Wine Tips," and she'll be signing copies of it today at The CW Center from 6 - 8 pm.  You don't have to be a cancer survivor to attend, so it's also a nice chance for you to check out the lovely center I love so much!  I guarantee you'll become a fan of Nancy AND her book.  "Taste and Savor" is reasonably priced for under $20, and is packed with wonderful recipes and great wine pairing tips.  I like the photos, too -- I even made the book in a precious picture to me because it's with Nancy, my beloved surgeon Dr.  Heather Richardson, my amazing friend Carolyn Helmer (who runs The Cancer Wellness Center,) and several of my dear fellow survivor friends.  I bought several of the cookbooks and plan to purchase many more this year as gifts, and had Nancy personalize them for my family and friends. You can do the same (just in time for Valentine's Day ;)) this evening.  By purchasing Nancy's book, you're also helping cancer patients because a portion of every book sold will be donated to Cancer Wellness programs!  The Center is very easy to get to -- right off I75, so you can stop by on your way home.  Nancy will also be preparing some of her best recipes, which is great because then you get to eat what she cooks!!  You just need to reserve a spot -- call 404-425-7944.
