Thanks so much to everyone who has been sending out good thoughts and prayers for my friend Diane's daughter, who underwent surgery for melanoma Monday.  The surgery went very well, and we're waiting for results of the pathology, but the surgeon thought everything looked good.  It makes me shudder to remember the steps you have to go through once you're diagnosed -- biopsy, MRI, surgery, then treatment based on findings.  Unfortunately, you have no clue at the onset of what your course of action will be.  Your doc doesn't even know for sure.  There's time between each step where you have to wait, and I now believe that time actually helps you digest and try to come to terms with the incomplete info you have at the time.  It's infuriating, yet necessary.  We 'll find out my friend's results by the weekend, so please keep the prayers coming!
