I had a fantastic time in L.A. and it was wonderful to meet Baby Margot, the newest addition to our family.  The weather was great, as it almost always is there -- I love that it's warm during the day and nice and cool at night.  Nothing much to report as the trip was all about family bonding, but I did sit near a D-list celeb on the flight back home. Corbin Bernsen!  I wouldn't have even recognized him if he hadn't been complaining loudly about having to sit at the bulkhead.  You'd think that, especially famous people whose faces are recognizable, they'd lay low, but CB was fairly blustery.  What a hoot! 

I read a terrific book during the flight -- "The Art of Racing in the Rain."  Whew, what a tearjerker.  If you're a dog lover it's a must-read!  What a fun read from an intelligent dog's perspective, and it's not ridiculously sappy like some dog books I know...
