WWKKD? Weekend

Previous Posts

By Kaedy Kiely

What Would I Do this weekend?  Atlanta Motor Speedway's summer fun has kicked off BIG time, with Thursday Thunder starting this week through August 5th -- a terrific family evening with games, contests, giveaways, and hot racing excitement.  Get this -- tickets are only $5 for adults, $1 for kids 6 - 11, and children under 6 are free.  You can't beat that!  Make it your way to start the weekends early this summer.  The Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine are going on at AMS all summer long, too.  This weekend they're featuring the Kids Candy and Coin Scramble (sounds like a game my "Auntie" used to play with us when we were little.  She'd get handfuls of coins and just toss them out onto the floor for us to scramble and fight for!  Look for the AMS version to be happening on the AMS frontstretch!)

If I could be in two places at once on Saturday, I'd be enjoying both the Wing & Rock Fest on the Marietta Square AND the Cheap Trick concert at The Fred Brown Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City.  If you're feeling ambitious, you could do both!  I LOVE Cheap Trick, and their live shows are always a blast. Call 770-631-0630 for ticket info.  I'll be hanging out for a few hours Saturday afternoon at the 5th annual Wing & Rock Fest for the best wings around, some cold suds, and fun, live classic hits.  With FREE admission and reasonable prices on wings and beer, I hope to see you there!  A great weekend capper is Sunday night at Chastain -- Ian Hunter and Jethro Tull
