I just spent the last week in Los Cabos, Mexico -- right around the corner from Cabo San Lucas.  Los Cabos is not as tourist-y as Cabo, and it has to be one of the most beautiful spots I've ever been to.  It reminds me a little of Rio -- gorgeous mountains near pristine beaches.  My brother and his wife were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, and decided to share the festivities with family by renting a huge villa on the beach and making sure the place was stocked with plenty of margarita fixings ("Mexican Agua,") guacolmole, and pico de gallo!  I've always been a fan of Mexican food, but there's nothing quite like the real thing -- such wonderful, fresh ingredients. We didn't even get into town the whole time we were there.  We all just spent time together with good music, lots of sun, Scrabble, cards, brushing up on our Spanglish, and lazing in the pool or hottub (super good for me to just chill for a time.)  We did go sailing one day, and porpoises followed and played around us the whole time we were out -- magical!  And the moon was either full or nearly full the whole week -- it was incredible to see it over the ocean every night.

Back to reality with our travels yesterday.  We had a flight from Cabo to Houston with a one hour layover in which to get our bags through customs -- sheesh!  JUST made our connecting flight only to sit on the runway for over an hour, then having to go back to the terminal because of the storms here.  So my flight was delayed 3 hours, then had to wait for an hour, till well after midnight, for our baggage!  Needless to say, I'm going on fumes, but they're muy bueno fumes!
