"Inception"'s Reception

By Kaedy Kiely

Woo -- went with a friend last night to see "Inception," and I literally lost sleep over it!  I've been excited to hear the great buzz from critics AND friends about a movie I've been looking forward to for a while, so I couldn't wait any longer to see it. If you haven't cuaght it yet, be prepared to think from the get-go.  The flick's directed by Christopher Nolan, the same guy who brought us "Memento," so you know you can't take a trip to the restroom or even cough for fear of missing something.  I don't think I've ever been in a theater full of people that was so quiet.  You could hear a pin drop during the rare quiet moments in the movie.  Ladies will be happy to know the actors are sublime to look at, too. (On a side note, I couldn't help but notice that almost everyone in the movie had full, luscious lips -- I know that sounds ridiculous, but see for yourself!)  The special effects are insane.  A fight scene in a hotel hallway that is rolling over and over (mimicking a van rolling down an embankment) will almost overload your mind!  Hans Zimmer's music is great, too.  Some pieces feature The Smith's guitarist, Johnny Marr -- dark and rockin'!  At the end, I felt the same way I felt after seeing "The Sixth Sense."  I wanted to watch the movie all over again...right away!  This one's gonna make BIG bucks.
