Twice I've spent several hours at Atlantic Station in the last couple of weeks.  I had family in town over Christmas and we all wanted to see different movies (the theaters there have the most comfortable seats!)  We had lunch at the steakhouse "Strip." Everyone loved their meal -- from sushi and salads to burgers and ribs.  While we were waiting for our food, I walked across the street to the theater to get our tickets in advance, timing our movies so we'd all get out around the same time.  My nieces went to see "Avatar" in 3-D, my mom and sister-in-law saw Sandra Bullock in "The Blind Side," and my brother and I checked out "Up In the Air" with never-lonesome George Clooney.  Everybody loved their movies, too -- almost too good to be true!  While some of us were waiting for others to get out of the theater, there was great shopping to be had (and super deals after Christmas!) 

I went back a couple of nights ago with a friend for a margarita at "Rosa Mexicano" and a movie ("The Blind Side" -- loved it and loved spotting the places I know around Atlanta in the movie, as many parts were filmed here!) and, of course, shopping for more deals.  You get the best deal around for parking at Atlantic Station, too -- the most I've ever paid is $5 after spending about 6 hours there.  If you're going to see a movie, you can validate your parking ticket in the theater lobby on your way out for 2 hours of free parking.  With the incredibly high prices of parking anywhere in mid or downtown Atlanta, the parking price is terrific!   I thought I'd share the nice experiences with you in case you're looking for somewhere to go this weekend, as I almost always have a good time when I'm at Atlantic Station.
