Get Back

Previous Posts

Getting back into the swing of things, I hope you had at least a few days off to recharge for a good start to the new year!  I had a great break -- my little brother Frank (okay, he's like 6'2", but once a little brother, always a little brother) and his family were in town for nearly a week for Christmas, and my two teen-aged nieces kept things lively.  I got The Beatles Rock Band a few months ago, so we had fun pounding the skins, maneuvering the whammy bar, and singing our lungs out to "Get Back," "Yellow Submarine," and more.  It was just a taste of what would happen New Year's Eve, as I had friends and family over for 6 hours straight of Beatles Rock Band.  Of course we took a quick break just before midnight to check out the New York festivities and to watch the ball drop, got a bit bummed watching Dick Clark, so went back to the bright, wonderful sounds of The Beatles.  I'm a bit late to the Rock Band craze, but it's definitely tons of fun and addictive.  Literally everyone wanted to either play guitar, drums or sing.  I had to get out all my percussion instruments so everyone had something to do.  "Twas a festive and musical holiday -- I hope yours was too!
