I got this e-mail from a listener about a fundraiser for Stockbridge High basketball coach Mark Andrews who is battling cancer.  You may know him, or may be able to be extra generous for a neighbor this season, so I'd like to pass along the info:

Reception to follow at Wings and Things 7-close

 As we all know our good friend, Griffin Ga. resident/alumni and  long time Stockbridge High Head Basketball Coach Mark Andrews is fighting a brave battle against cancer. We will honor him and his family when his current team Pike County High School plays @ Northgate High School in basketball on Saturday December 4th. There will be a ceremony after the game to present a check to the American Cancer Society in Mark's name. We are asking for any donations that you or your school can make on Marks behalf. After the game a reception will be held so everyone can come by and visit with Mark. If you would like to donate, send your check, made out to theAmerican Cancer Society and mail to Northgate High School @ 3220 Fisher Rd. Newnan Ga. 30265 attn: Mack Cain. All donations are tax deductible. In addition to honoring Mark with the donation we are asking that everyone (friends/coach's/former players) please try to attend this game & reception in support of Mark. The proceeds from the gate and concessions will be donated from Northgate High School.. (other schools are also doing the same for one of their home games) Please come out and support Coach Andrews and his fight against cancer.
