I'm psyched!  Late last week I talked to my Rad Doc about what day I would finish my treatment.  I'm taking Friday off to celebrate my niece Whitney's baby shower, and Friday would have been my last treatment -- #33.  My doc says we can double up tomorrow so I can be done Thursday!!  She said getting a double-dose in one day would be ok for me on a rare occasion like this so I'll get my entire breast radiated tomorrow morning, then get the boost late tomorrow afternoon.  My "hoo" to accompany my "woo" will be coming Thursday!!  Good thing I'm almost done, too, because I am experiencing that worst sunburn I'll ever have that I was warned might happen.  And since I'm getting burned in places that the sun's never shined, my skin is even more tender.  It's all certainly tolerable, though.  The refrigerated aloe and Aquafor help a lot.  I also got a good tip from one of my nurses just before my surgery to buy soft cotton sports bras that do up in the front.  You can find them at places like Wal-Mart.  They're not the most supportive bras, but who cares about perky boobs at this point in one's treatment?!

I'm thrilled that my friend Anita commented on my last post about her first chemo.  She sounds very upbeat, and said her treatment went well.  I got some terrific e-mails and can't tell you how much I appreciate the good thoughts and prayers I've received for my friends' and my recoveries...so powerful, thank you!
