What a Trip!

Omigosh, Vegas was an absolute blast!   Over 20 of my best friends and family together at The Palms with my nephew Bill hosting.  Friday night a bunch of us saw Cirque De Soleil's "Love" -- it was simply fabulous!!  Probably the best live show of any kind I've ever seen.  The sights and mash-ups of The Beatles sounds were just incredible.  I've always thought the theaters in Vegas are the best anywhere -- the sound quality is always fantastic, and at the "Love" theater at The Mirage there are even speakers in the headrests of every seat!  Saturday night we celebrated the end of my treatments and my upcoming birthday at The Palms.  We dined in our own private glass room at N9ne steakhouse -- the food was crazy good with easily the best filet mignon I've ever had, and mac & cheese (a dish my friend calls "the other vegetable") to die for!  Then, the peak of the celebration was partying in the The Kingpin Fantasy Suite at the hotel that we had for the night -- the nearly 5,000 square foot room with a two-lane BOWLING ALLEY and pool table in it!!  The views of the Vegas strip from the almost completely glass living room were breath-taking.  Even though we stayed up till the wee hours and I was terribly sleep deprived, I had to keep the curtains in the bedroom open so I would wake up to see the sunrise over the strip -- talk about Fantasy Suite!   We all had a (bowling) ball, thanks to my nephew Bill and brother Leo for such an amazing treat.  I'll update you a bit more later -- it was also the weekend of the "unwigging!"
