Wednesday, Hump-day, and I'm feeling alright!  The doc said I could expect the effects of chemo to kick in between 2 and 5 days after my treatment.  Today is Day 5 and, aside from being tired and itchy, I'm happy to say I'm A-okay.  I'm told to be especially careful about contact with germs Days 10 - 14 as that's when my white blood cell count will be at it's lowest and I'll be very susceptible to infection.  My chemo routine is a walk in the park compared to some. I'm taking Cyclophosphamide and Docetaxel (the one I had the allergic reaction to,) and have been lucky to avoid a bad-ass one that can really take its toll on your heart.  I'll have 4 rounds of chemo every three weeks.  I'm purposely scheduling it on Fridays so  I can have a couple of days to recover before I go back to work on Monday.  I love, love, LOVE my job, so I couldn't be happier that I'm able to work!
