Previous Posts

By Kaedy Kiely

I'm giving away tickets to one of my favorite Atlanta events, The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off at Stone Mountain Park this Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008.  Tomorrow is your last chance to win tickets by listening for my ROCKRIDDLE at 8:10 a.m. -- be the first caller with the correct answer at 404-741-9797 to win 4 tickets to the Chili Cook-Off.

Just in case you missed it this morning, here is today's ROCKRIDDLE:

What a long, strange trip it's been...

One came from a cradle, two from a Mexican.

Ten years ago the singer and band went their separate ways.

A guy they found on YouTube is singing for them these days.

The answer is....

Journey!

What a long, strange trip it's been...

The band formed in 1973 in San Francisco and is still performing.  A long trip is a journey.

One came from a cradle, two from a Mexican.

The Babys (cradle) keyboardist Jonathan Cain joined in 1981.  Original members Gregg Rolie and Neal Schon had played with Santana (Carlos Santana is Mexican.)

Ten years ago the singer and band went their separate ways.

Singer Steve Perry split from the band when he was having severe hip problems that kept him from being able to perform.  "Separate Ways" is a Top 10 hit from 1983.

A guy they found on YouTube is singing for them these days.

Neal Schon discovered the band's new lead singer, Arnel Pineda, singing covers of Journey songs on YouTube.
