More Controversy: Politicians vs. Classic Artists

By Chris Miller

Politicians like to use music as part of their campaigns.  They like to use music that people respond to ... music that makes people feel good.  So ... they look to classic hits and songs by classic artists to fit the bill.

Earlier, we referred to this here, and now there's more cases of presidential candidates using classic tunes ... and classic artists asking them to stop doing so!

Jon Bon Jovi has asked the McCain/Palin campaign to stop using one of his songs; read about it here.

Meanwhile, here's another case of artists supporting one candidate or another; in his native state, North Carolina, James Taylor will be doing five free concerts in support of Barack Obama
