April 16th is National Start Walking Day!

By Lexie Kaye

April 16th is National Start Walking Day which encourages  you to wear your sneakers and and walk for 30 minutes!

Walking has the lowest drop out rate of any exercise since it's easy and safe and all it takes is 30 minutes of brisk walking on all or most days of the week to be healthy!

You can take the stairs, set up a walking path at home or work; park further away in parking lots so you can walk more; hop off the bus/train/marta a stop or two early and walk the rest of the way. For every one hour of exercise you do, you gain two hours of life expectancy!

What would you do with two extra hours of life?
