Atlanta is the perfect city for an Outdoor Concert - Think about the shows in Atlanta's Rock n' Roll History: From seeing the Allman Brothers in Piedmont
Park to the Atlanta Pop Festival, to the GREEN Concerts with The Eagles or Paul McCartney. Once the heat of Summer dies down and the smell of Fall fills the Georgia air - the flood gates open to some of the best weather known to man and we get to love it here in Atlanta - and even better - we get to love it with LIVE MUSIC in one of the country's most beautiful parks.

I know that you listeners up in the suburbs tend to be scared about the thought of Piedmont Park - that is "dangerous" or "scary!" - I suppose it might be to some people but to ME???? It's one of the best parks in the WORLD and to be there THIS weekend, to feel the vibe of the city and to watch it come to life, with GREAT music and thousands of music fans filling up the Atlanta skyline- giving great memories to generations of people. Old and young will be a part of the madness this weekend, the madness that is Music Midtown and I can't tell you how excited I am.

Think about it for a second. Okay - maybe the Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam don't make you think Led Zeppelin and The Who BUT just close your eyes for a second and think about what THAT moment would in fact look like if it was 1976. Not much different than it will look like tomorrow night in Midtown. Change the names - change the faces - change the songs but the idea - the concept of getting thousands of people to converge for one or two days - TOGETHER - for one common reason!!! MUSIC!

Music is MY life - this weekend’s festivities will take up a whole chapter of memories for me - the experience, the vibe, the life of the city - the MUSIC! At the end of the day
- that's all I need!! I sure hope to see you down on the Meadow in one of the greatest parks in one of the GREATEST cities!!
