We all know that music paints a picture - that music recounts a time, a memory - it brings back a special moment in your life, it says the things that you've been wanting to say and expressed the emotion you've been eager to express.  I'll give you an example.  My girlfriend and I broke up and there is one Classic Rock song that I played OVER AND OVER again thinking, I know that is true for me.  The song:  Bob Seger's "You'll Accompany Me!"  Bob told a story of how he fell for a footloose and fancy free lady that was walking out the door - and although he was able to let her go - he knew that one day, they'd be together again.   Take a look:

Bob said for me - EVERYTHING I had wanted to say - He just immortalized it in a song.  Thank you Bob Seger for saying the words that I didn't have the courage to say. 

Maybe it's a song about someone that passed on - whether it be "Freebird," "Stairway to Heaven," or the Mike and Mechanics song "The Living Years" which reminds me of my late father - there is ALWAYS a song that gives you hope, that says what you've wanted to say - made you feel the things you've wanted to feel.
