Boy oh boy, how things change the older you get.  Maybe it's just because I root for stinky teams, but I find myself, less and less interested in sports.  All sports.  I grew up a HUGE football fan, loved my Red Wings and even supported the Pistons back in the 80's/90's but I've gotten to the age of barely caring at all. 

I'll take in a Braves game or go watch Tech play.  Head to Athens for a Saturday or even head down to the dome to catch the Falcons but I will tell you - I'd rather skip it all and hang out with my kid.  Throwing the baseball, football or kicking the soccer ball has replaced my passion for watching over paid athletes show boat and complain. 

I'm sure this is common for most parents, but it's a total 180 for me.  Saturdays or Sundays used to be filled with beer, bros and ball - I'll skip all three now and slow pitch to the little man!  I think about this as both the NHL and NBA are about to find out a champion, and college football is around the corner.
