Last week, I went on vacation....Well, I had a hard time considering it a vacation for two reasons 1) It was in Toledo Ohio 2) I was visiting family. You see, when I think of vacation - I think of the beach, or a camping trip in the mountains or hanging out in some exotic location and face it, we work hard to earn time off and taking that precious time off to spend it in Toledo, Ohio seems like a drag right??

Well, my son is 6 1/2 now and I am really starting to understand and appreciate the importance of family. Not only for him, but for me too - so I loaded up the car and we sped off to Ohio. And you know what? I'm so glad that I did. We often get so caught up in the day to day of our lives that the important things, like family, sometimes takes a back seat and one thing that I want to make sure of it that my son never does is put me in the back seat.

So, okay - it wasn't a beach or a camping trip or an exotic location but it was HOME and sometimes HOME is better than any place in the world.

Bon Jovi sang once "Who Says You Can't Go Home" and I don't know who said you can't but my guess is that they suck!!
