So the Ticket Vault is stacked this week with tickets to see Kiss and Motley Crue and boy do I have a Crue story to share.  Well, maybe I shouldn't share it but hey, it's Rock n' Roll isn't it??

I believe the year was 1989 - Motley Crue's "Dr. Feelgood" tour and the closest to my hometown was a show at the Palace Of Auburn Hills - in Michigan, just north of Detroit.  I didn't have tickets so I didn't plan on going.  Probably shouldn't have gone to be honest.

What happend was, I had two buddies that called at about 4pm with an extra tickets - They'd give it to me if I drove.  I said yes....We piled into my 1980 Camaro Belinetta and heading up I-75 to Auburn Hills.   Well, my friends decided to help themselves to some "mind alturing" pre-concert fun!  I of course (as the driver) passed.  Maybe they just didn't offer.

Any way....I did fill up my RED SOLO CUP with a Miller Lite about 20 miles outside of the Auburn Hills because I was thirsty.  To my left, I notice a car full of BIG HAIRED girls, flirting with us.  HECK YEAH!!!  We played back and forth until they pulled in front of us.  They of course were going to the show as well.

SUDDENLY!!!   BAM - The girls in front of us come to a screeching halt on the interstate as we approached the exit for the Palace.  Guess who was riding too close?  Guess who smashed the front of his Camaro into the pretty girls in front of him?  Yep - that was me!  Guess who spilt his beer all over himself in the process.  Yep - me again!

To wrap up the story - No one went to jail, no one got hurt but I will tell you that it broke my heart after the show having to rip off the front fender in order to get back home.   The plus side?  The girl driving the car in front of me became my girlfriend.  At least for awhile - until her dad found out!

Ahhhh....Memories!
