Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana took inspiration from golden Byzantine mosaics for their shiny 2013-14 autumn-winter collection on Sunday (February 24). The glamorous fashion duo, known for their style inspired by the Mediterranean culture, explored the dazzling artwork of the Cathedral of Monreale in Sicily for their A-shaped and hour-glass dresses in golden threads that emphasized artisanal work.
