Dave Clapper

Clapper is actually my real name - granted - it's my LAST name and I was born with a Radio name and some might say "the perfect FACE for radio too!"

What a treat it is to play Atlanta's Classic Hits for you.  I grew up on the same music as you, and that's why you are here - listening....Right??

I always like sharing things like my first concert, first album, etc - so you might get a kick out of this:

My first concert was: Def Leppard and Krokus (yes Krokus) - Joe Louis Arena - 1983 (Rock concert that is) Mom and Dad took me to Neil Diamond but I don't count that.

My first ALBUM - YES ALBUM was Journey's "Escape"

I will try and rank my Top five of each....

Top Five Concerts:

  1. Def Leppard and Krokus - HA!  Have to include my first ROCK show
  2. Ozzy wsg Metallica – 1984 – Cliff Burton was still alive
  3. Paul McCartney at Piedmont Park a couple of years ago – A Magical Night
  4. Mumford & Sons LIVE at the Buckhead Theatre - Love this band - Great venue for it
  5. Don’t judge here but Jamie Cullum (have you heard of him) – Cobb Energy Center

Top Five Albums: (I will keep these Classic Based)

  1. Bob Seger - Live Bullet (love me some Bob Seger)
  2. Led Zeppelin - In Through The Out Door (duh)
  3. Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers (A classic that will never get old)
  4. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon (Roger Waters makes me weep)
  5. Aerosmith - Toys In The Attic (still a rockin’ record)

Thanks for letting me into your speakers and thanks for listening to MY favorite station!

Hit me up - I always love hearing from listeners.
