The Rolling Stones release their very first EP. Songs included on it are “You Better Move On,” “Poison Ivy,” “Bye Bye Johnny,” and “Money” (1964).

Led Zeppelin I, the group’s debut album is releases in the US, coinciding with their first headlining US concert tour (1969).

The Doors perform four shows at the Felt Forum in NYC and are recorded for the group’s upcoming Absolutely Live album (1970).

Mӧtley Crüe forms after bass guitarist Nikki Sixx leaves the band London and begins rehearsing with drummer Tommy Lee and vocalist/guitarist Greg Leon (who later leaves the group). Sixx and Lee then bring on Bob “Mick Mars” Deal and Vince Neil (1981).
