Ross Valory of the Steve Miller Band is born (1949).

The Beatles perform their first professionally organized concert outside of Liverpool at the Oasis Club in Manchester (1962).

The Rolling Stones release their new song “19th Nervous Breakdown”, it reaches #2 on the UK singles chart (1966).

The Jimi Hendrix Experience perform live on the UK TV show Tops of the Pops. The band play “Purple Haze” (1967).
