Northside Hospital Offers Free Prostate Cancer Screenings in Alpharetta
It’s estimated that nearly 6,700 men in Georgia will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year, according to the National Cancer Institute. It remains the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men, aside from skin cancer. To help raise awareness of the disease, Northside Hospital’s Cancer Institute is offering a free prostate cancerscreening to the community.
Health care professionals will screen adult men for symptoms of prostate cancer and offer prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood tests and rectal exams at no charge. A nurse navigator is available to help arrange follow up care, if indicated. Qualified Spanish interpreters available on site.
Men between the ages of 40-75
No history of prostate cancer
Have not had a prostate exam within the last year
Uninsured (limited spaces available for those with insurance)

Men are encouraged to talk with their health care providers about the benefits and potential risks of prostate cancertesting to determine if screening for prostate cancer is right for them.Northside Hospital’s prostate cancer screenings are free, but registration is required.
