Scouts of all ages and their families are invited to join Park Ranger and Naturalist Jerry Hightower and the National Park Service Volunteer Naturalist Staff for an exciting autumn evening of adventure, discovery, and fun. Learn how to build and start a campfire, American Indian games, and other outdoor skills. Roast marshmallows over the campfire and go on a guided night hike along forested trails. Discover interesting facts about the American Indians that once called the Chattahoochee River Corridor their home, how to prepare for outdoor fun in the winter, and earn credit toward receiving your National Park Service "Resource Stewardship Scout Ranger" Patch. Bobcats, Tigers, and Bears are invited to enjoy and perhaps participate in the creative portrayal of a Cherokee Legend. Learn the Cherokee's river song. Receive a complimentary Chattahoochee River Journal with wildlife lists and paw prints. Enjoy the campfire, the autumn evening, and the nocturnal sights and sounds of the Chattahoochee.
