Visit the Garden for a day celebrating rare plants and animals! The national Endangered Species Day began in 2006 to increase public understanding of recovery efforts for endangered plants and animals. At the Garden, you'll come nose-to-nose with a gopher tortoise, a bald eagle, an indigo snake, a Gila monster and more. Attendees will also learn about the Garden’s conservation work with rare plants and amphibians, and have the oppotunity to attend a behind-the-scenes tour lead by a member of the Conservation Department every hour on the half-hour.
