Bicycle enthusiasts and bike-curious Atlantans of all skill levels and ages are invited to hit the streets at 10 p.m. on Friday, May 10 for the inaugural Atlanta Moon Ride, a safe, fun, 6.5-mile ride through the coolest neighborhoods in the city. Participants are encouraged to ride with flair – dressing in costume, gearing up bikes with headlamps, glow sticks, bullhorns, unicorn horns – anything goes.
All of the proceeds from Atlanta Moon Ride will support the work of local charity Bert’s Big Adventure. Bert’s Big Adventure is a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.
The nighttime cruise will start and end at Park Tavern, taking you safely on a scenic and traffic-free route through Midtown, Little Five Points, the Highlands and more. The party continues post-ride at Park Tavern with specialty brews and awesome food served up late into the night.
Grab your bike and your friends and register online today at www.atlantamoonride.com. The fee is $25 per rider and includes an Atlanta Moon Ride t-shirt (as long as you register before April 29th), entry to the kick-off party with live music starting at 8 p.m., your first beer and entry back into the after party! $25.00
