Its not too early to start gathering your team-friends, family, co-workers-for the 6th annual Great Smoky Mountains Scavenger Hunt Ranging over most of the park, the hunt uses roads and official trails to access particular areas. You and your team will seek answers to about 75 questions that will test your knowledge of the national park. Your team can research some questions, but most will require searching through the park to find the answers. Since it is illegal to remove any items from the park, your team will need a digital camera with a flash memory to record your answers. Youll enjoy dinner while the judges tally the answers and you and your team brag to others about your exploits during the hunt One registration form per team. Go to gsmit.org/hunt.html for more information. This event is limited to 200 participants, so register early Cost per team: $50. Dinner included. Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont is an educational partner of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Tremont is a non-profit environmental education center that provides in-depth education programs that celebrate ecological and cultural diversity, foster stewardship, and nurture appreciation of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
