El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day) Display Multicultural - Exhibit Monday, April 1, 2013 10:00 AM-6:00 AM Buckhead Branch Library 269 Buckhead Avenue, N.E. Atlanta, GA 30305 Google Maps - MapQuestThroughout the month of April, children ages 5-12 can come see the special artifacts and puppets in the display case, plus several special book displays representing Hispanic culture and literature. These are exhibited to celebrate El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day). The special displays include: Pura Belpré award-winning books, books authored by Pura Belpré, a display about her life and career (she was the first Latina librarian at the New York Public Library who became a famous author, storyteller, and puppeteer), puppets of the characters from one of her books, and a display of books which are bi-lingual (Spanish and English text).Suggested Audiences: Elementary E-mail: comments@co.fulton.ga.us Last Modified: December 23, 2012 at 3:11 PM
