Join Keep Atlanta Beautiful, Atlanta BeltLine, Inc., the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Park Pride, Trees Atlanta, the Atlanta Community Tool Bank, and neighborhood partners as we plant native grass along the Eastside Trail on the Atlanta BeltLine to celebrate this year’s Earth Day on the Atlanta BeltLine. IMPORTANT: PRINT AND SIGN THIS LIABILITY WAIVER AND BRING WITH YOU TO CHECK IN. The Atlanta BeltLine is working with Trees Atlanta, Park Pride, Keep Atlanta Beautiful, and neighborhood groups to plant native grass along the Eastside Trail between the Freedom Park and Angier Springs Road on the Atlanta BeltLine.All ages are welcome, though we require all children be accompanied by an adult. We will meet under the Freedom Parkway Bridge, next to the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark at 830 Willoughby Way, Atlanta, GA 30312. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION:Check inPlan to arrive by 8:30 to check in, grab a coffee and food, and get assigned to a team leader who will orient you to the site.With this many volunteers, the first step in making sure the event runs smoothly is for you to PRINT, SIGN, and BRING your LIABILITY WAIVER with you. If you are bringing children, they must also have a waiver signed by a guardian. YOU MUST HAVE A SIGNED LIBABILITY WAIVER IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE. Just in case, we will have a rain date in case of inclement weather, due to the fragile nature of the planting area. We'll post any changes on www.KeepAtlantaBeautiful.org by 8:00 a.m on the event day.FoodFood, snacks and water will be available for volunteers, provided by District 2 City Councilman Kwanza Hall.Scope of work As you check in, we will place you (and your group if you are part of a larger one) with a team leader in groups of 10 or more who will provide the rundown of your specific duties for the planting. Be prepared for moderate work. Some work gloves and planting tools will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own gloves if you have them. Some of these tools are dangerous if used improperly. Turn right onto Elizabeth St. NE. Turn right on Eastside Trail. Skatepark will be on the LEFT.By car from I-75/85 S: Take exit 248C toward GA-10 E/Freedom Pkwy/Carter Center. Merge onto GA-10 E/Freedom Pkwy. Turn left onto Boulevard NE. Turn right onto Ralph McGill Blvd NE. Continue onto Willoughby Way NE. The park will be on the right. Walk or Bike: Another way to enjoy the Atlanta BeltLine! Walk or ride your bike on the Eastside Trail to the meeting area.
