Dynamic and talented young artists in the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra tackle challenging repertoire under the leadership of Music Director Jere Flint. FOX 5 News anchor Tom Haynes joins Mr. Flint and the Youth Orchestra to narrate Britten's "The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra." The program also features Catherine Xie, one of the winners of the Youth Orchestra's annual Concerto Competition, who will perform the first movement of Saint-Säens's Piano Concerto No. 2. Guest conductor Michael Palmer — the former Associate Conductor of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra — leads the Youth Orchestra in Dvořák’s "Symphony No. 8."
